Having been introduced to O group around 18 months ago, curtsey of Steve L and really enjoying the first foray, I’d been keen to bring out the 15mm desert collection, which hadn’t see the light of day for some time.

Scenario:
The Continental Army is deployed to protect an important
crossroads which they must hold in order to keep their supply lines open. The
Crown forces’ objective is to drive off the Continentals and seize the road in
order to close off this valuable supply route. This is a straightforward Battle
scenario taken from the Redcoats and Tomahawks supplement.

Game
Every December the club normally puts on
one massive game for all the members to participate in. This year as our membership has seen a very
healthy increase we decided to put on two large games instead of one massive
game. The decision was to set both games
in the American Civil War and the honour of organising the 15mm game went to
myself (Steve L) and Mr Steve.
This is a set of rules that I had never heard of until my fellow umpire Ian said he had version 2. I went online and bought the Deluxe4 version thinking they would just be a prettier version of 2. Do my delight and Ian’s when I showed them to him, they were very different and I could then see where Mr Brown developed O Group from.
People will know I am a fan of O Group so these rules were a no brainer to try as an alternative to a lot of other lower level WW2 rules that are out there.
